TasteAtlas

This is one of those websites to put on your list when planning a trip.

TasteAtlas is a well organised database of local food delicacies from around the world. You can search or explore on an interactive map. Click through on any dish and find ratings, photos, ingredients and full descriptions.

It’s a little bit embarrassing to find a speciality of my home county Lancashire on the map. The ingredients of Butter Pie perfectly fits the stereotype of bland English food; potato, butter, onion, eggs, flour, salt, and pepper.

But go a little further north and you can find one of my favourites and a solid delicacy; Potted Shrimps.

Make sure to give Potted Shrimps a try if you are ever in Lancashire!

It is endlessly entertaining when you explore the culinary world on the TasteAtlas food map. There are over 11,000 dishes listed and you can even find local restaurants from a directory of over 24,000.

Click around the Food Map and see what you can find!
