Giving Up your Location in this Connected World

Last Updated on: February 18, 2023

It is amazing to think that in today’s technology-driven world, it is quite possible that anyone can know where you are at any time.

Some people are even quite willing to give this information up; for example, some developers have a website showing their location at any given time.

So that’s all good when the people are willing, but what about when they are not? Former Fulham manager Chris Coleman was recently tracked by his wife when she suspected him of an affair. She likely used something similar to Mobile Locate, which gives you the location of a mobile phone number… expensive but no doubt priceless to some people.

If you’re looking to keep track of your kid, then you can do the same thing with Child Locate. The worrying thing about this technology is that it is advertised with the best intentions, but I am absolutely sure this is being abused by obsessive partners or over-paranoid parents… or possibly by someone with more sinister intentions.
